Tribute to Working Moms
With so much talk now days on stay at home moms, work from home moms, etc., we wanted to take this opportunity to spotlight Working Moms! This economy has forced many women into the workforce out of necessity. Husbands out of work, salaries being cut, you know the drill. So this week is for you! The hard working moms of America.
The first tribute is to my own mother, Patricia Williams. She taught in the Mississippi public school system for over 25 years and is now retired. Growing up I didn't realize what a job that was! Not only the demands of being a teacher on an underpaid salary, but the fact that she went to work day in and day out AND took care of our family. I am blessed to be a stay at home mom to my three sweet children and I struggle with balancing family time, laundry, meals, cleaning, errands, etc. etc. I often look back at my mom and wonder, how on earth did she do it? So thank you Mom for always being there for us, giving us the love and time we needed, taking care of our home, all while being an excellent school teacher! Here's a picture of my sweet Mama doning one of our ladies sashes. Isn't she beautiful.
How on earth, do many of you face the same demands every single day! Hats off to you!!
